When you seek out you live in a misery
whereas,
When you look inside you find serenity!
In life, we often find ourselves seeking happiness in the outside world, chasing dreams, validation, or the perfect situation. Yet, more often than not, this external pursuit leads to disappointment and misery. True peace, however, lies within – and it took me a series of small mistakes and major lessons to fully understand this. Each misstep, each stumble on the smaller roads of life, became a stepping stone for the larger paths ahead. I now walk forward with my head held high, knowing that the lessons learned will guide me, not just through life’s challenges but through my journey of self-realization.
I used to think I could control situations, but since understanding the divine play of my dear Narayan (Lord Vishnu), I’ve realized how much is beyond human control. We, caught in the webs of circumstance, often believe that we alone hold the reins. Yet, our actions, shaped by past lives and karmic choices, have already paved the way for our current situations. The wise know this – they laugh and say to the universe, "I see through your game, Narayan." Like Radha, who found joy even in suffering, I too have learned to embrace pain with love.
Hell and heaven are not places on a map, not destinations like New York or Delhi. People search for these realms outside themselves, unaware that they are internal states of being. The scriptures, written by scholars, hold vast knowledge, but not all can embody that wisdom. Those who lack true self-awareness may engage in arguments fueled by ego, rather than sharing insights with compassion. Only when we raise ourselves above anger, greed, and attachment, can we truly teach from a place of love.
This understanding inspired me to write a poem called "Manthan," derived from the myth of Samudra Manthan – the churning of the ocean. The manthan, in this case, represents the churning of our ego and self-awareness.
Manthan: The Churning of Self (Meaning Of the this Poem)
We are not born evil or flawed; our environment shapes us. Like a beautiful fish in muddy water, we remain pure, waiting for the right conditions to shine. But in order to conquer the world, we must churn our ego, raise our vibrations, and embrace both the divine and the demonic within us.
Each of us carries the essence of Shiva and Shakti – yin and yang. We must acknowledge the poison (vish) within, the negative tendencies that hold us back, while also recognizing our potential to transform it into nectar (amrit). To live in alignment with our higher self, we must raise the kundalini energy, moving it from the root (Muladhara) to the crown (Sahasrara) – the seat of higher consciousness.
From this churning, we unlock the treasures of the soul:
1. Strength (Halahal) – The resilience to face a world filled with poison.
2. Purity (Kaamdhenu) – The ability to manifest our pure desires.
3. Mastery of Time (Uchhe) – The power to move swiftly, with purpose.
4. Wisdom (Airavat) – Balancing the four pillars of life: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.
5. Inner Bliss (Kaustubh Mani) – Finding peace not in the world but within our own hearts.
6. Potential (Kalpvriksh) – Tapping into our ancestral wisdom, unlocking unlimited potential.
7. Beauty (Rambha) – Glowing from within, attracting abundance.
8. Wealth (Lakshmi) – Aligning with higher vibrations naturally brings prosperity.
9. Joy (Varuni) – The calm, intoxicating joy of self-realization.
10. Phases (Chandrama) – Like the moon, life has phases, but we must not lose sight of our divine nature.
11. Healing (Parijaat Tree) – Becoming a source of healing for others.
12. Victory (Shankh) – Conquering the vices of lust, anger, attachment, greed, and ego.
13. Health (Dhanvantri) – Activating the divine energy that strengthens both body and mind.
14. Immortality (Amrit) – Moving beyond the cycle of life and death by evolving spiritually.
These 14 treasures symbolize the journey from the chaos of ego to the harmony of the higher self. They remind us that life’s real victory isn’t in worldly conquest, but in the internal evolution that leads to self-fulfillment.
My journey continues as a seeker, a writer, and a human, hoping to inspire others to look inward for the serenity and success they seek in life. We are all capable of raising our vibrations, conquering our inner demons, and realizing the pure, divine essence within. The path is there for all – we need only be willing to take the first step.
Let’s churn our inner ocean and embrace both the challenges and treasures that lie within. Only then can we truly find peace, joy, and success.
Har har Mahadev
